Question: Where do I find Arrival and Departure information on flights to and from the Indianapolis International Airport?
Answer: Select ‘Check My Flight’ from the main menu on our home page. To find out if IND services a specific city, click on the ‘MORE’ link in the box titled ‘OAG’ under the ‘Check My Flight’ tab. This is the online reference for all daily flights TO and FROM Indianapolis International Airport. Each listing includes: departure & arrival time; airline and flight number; type of aircraft, and airports where connections are made.
Question: Do I still check in at the ticket counter if I have an E-ticket?
Answer: All passengers must receive a boarding pass to get through the security checkpoints and enter the concourse. Passengers traveling with e-tickets may either get their boarding pass form the ticket counter, curb side check-in or from their airline’s self-service kiosks in the ticket lobby.
Question: What time should I arrive at the airport before my scheduled departure?
Answer: Airport and airline officials encourage domestic travelers to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before scheduled departure. This time will allow the traveler to find parking, catch the shuttle bus from the lot, check in at the ticket counter or curbside, and go through security. Officials also encourage travelers to call their airline directly regarding the status of the flight.
Question: What time does the ticket counter open?
Answer: The ticket counters open approximately two hours prior to their first departure of the day. Curb side check-in also opens approximately 2 hours prior to the first departure of the day. To find out operating hours for individual airlines, contact your airline directly.
Question: Where do I meet arriving passengers in the airport?
Answer: Only ticketed passengers are permitted through the security checkpoints. You can meet your arriving passenger in the baggage claim area on the lower level which is also the Ground Transportation level.
Question: Where should I park to pick-up an arriving passenger?
Answer: Park in the airport’s parking garage. It is the closest parking with hourly rates. The first 30 minutes are free; after which time the rate becomes $1.50 per half hour.
Question: Can I pick up someone at the curb?
Answer: Yes. The passenger must be waiting curbside with all their luggage waiting to lead into a vehicle. There is no waiting nor parking at the curb for arriving passengers. If a vehicle is left unattended for any reason, the vehicle will be towed at the owners’ expense.
Question: What time does the airport open?
Answer: The airport is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
