Question: How do I meet a minor who is traveling alone?
Answer: By prior arrangement, unaccompanied minors may be met at the aircraft arrival gate by an airline representative. Another option, you may contact your respective airline to make arrangement for a GatePass.
Question: My son/daughter will be flying alone. What are the procedures?
Answer: Children flying alone are permitted to be escorted by one parent through the security checkpoints to the gate area. At the ticket counter, the ticket agent will issue the parent a “GatePass” with all the flight information on it. This is also the same for a parent picking up a child flying alone.
Question: What services are offered for persons with disability or special needs?
Answer: Wheelchair accessible telephones, automatic teller machines, accessible restrooms, and drinking fountains are located throughout the terminal. Hearing aid compatible, amplified and text telephones (TTY) are also available. The local Relay number is 711 or 1-800- 743-3333. Question: How can I get wheelchair assistance once I arrive at IND?
Answer: When you make your travel arrangements, indicate that you need assistance at the airport. Once you arrive, let the skycap or ticket agent know you need a wheelchair and they will provide this service.
Question: The Web site and FAQ do not answer the question that I have. What do I do?
Answer: Go to “Contact Us” on the main menu. Complete and submit your information request to the Communications and Marketing department for answers to the questions you may have or, at the very least, referrals to the appropriate agency which can answer your question.
