TSR 1542.209 specifies that no individual be granted unescorted access authority unless the individual has undergone a Fingerprint-based CHRC that does not disclose that he or she has a disqualifying criminal offense. Therefore, all individuals will undergo a fingerprint-based CHRC before they are authorized access to the SIDA or Sterile Areas. Companies can fingerprint their employees or the Airport Police Department can perform this task for a $45 fee.
If personnel are printed and processed by their company, IND requires one of the following to ensure the CHRC has been completed:
- Copy of the CHRC results
- Certification Letter on company letterhead, including the case number and fingerprint date
- Include case number and date with Signatory Agent signature under the CHRC heading in Section II of the Badging Form
If personnel are to be printed and processed by IND, they can report to the Badging Office Monday through Friday, from 7am to 5pm. They must have a letter on company letterhead (including billing address) stating their name and requirement for prints. Individuals will be asked to complete a Fingerprint Application Form, and they must have two forms of government issued identification (Driver's License, original SSN card, State ID, Military ID, Passport, or Birth Certificate). These IDs must be presented again at the time of badging. Fingerprint results are normally returned within 24 hours. It is the responsibility of the company, Signatory Agent, or their designated representative to check with the Badging Office to see if the prints have cleared.
