When coming to the airport to meet and greet arriving passengers, please keep the following suggestions in mind.
BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME
Before leaving for the airport, have the following information with you:
— Airline
— Flight number
— Arrival gate and concourse
— Time of arrival
If you will meet passengers inside the terminal, mutually agree upon the meeting location in advance. Otherwise, pick-up passengers outside the airline's baggage claim area.

— Follow the "Arriving Flights" signs on High School Road; proceed to airline baggage claim areas on the lower level drive.
— Drivers may park along the lower level curb only when ACTIVELY loading arriving passengers and luggage. You may want to ask passengers to call your mobile phone after they have claimed their luggage and exited the terminal.
PARKING
— If you will meet passengers inside the airport, choose short-term parking in the surface lot adjacent to the parking garage. The entrance is on the left as you approach the terminal on the lower drive; stay in the left lane.
— Parking in the airport garage is free if your stay is 30 minutes or less. To park in the garage, use one of the two right lanes.
INSIDE THE TERMINAL
As you walk through the terminal, look for overhead monitors displaying flight arrival and departure times, gate locations, and status. If a flight is on time, delayed, or cancelled, it will be indicated on these overhead monitors.

Drivers, friends, and family members are welcome in pre-security public areas of the airport. Due to security regulations, only ticketed passengers with boarding passes are allowed in the concourses beyond security checkpoints.
INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS
Passengers traveling on non-stop international flights arriving at or departing from Indianapolis should be picked-up at the International Arrivals Building (IAB).
The easiest way to meet arriving international travelers is to go directly to the IAB. Separate from the main passenger terminal, it is located near the intersection of High School Road and Pierson Drive. The street address is 7001 Pierson Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46241-4941. Parking is free.
All international travelers must be cleared by U.S. Customs. On average, the customs inspection and clearance takes about 20 minutes after a flight has landed.
Those who are not ticketed passengers may NOT enter the IAB—friends, family members, business associates, and others greeting must wait outside until passengers have cleared U.S. Customs.
We recommend you verify the status of incoming flights BEFORE arriving at the IAB.
