Each year, Indianapolis International Airport (IND) serves about 8.5 million passengers and transports 1.15 million ton of cargo. It is an important contributor to central Indiana's growing economy, especially in the life sciences, technology, and logistics sectors.

A new Indianapolis International Airport is being constructed and will open later this year. Thirty years in the planning, it will feature an architecturally stunning new passenger terminal and concourses filled will nearly $4 million in original art. Landside, the airport will be accessed by a new main entrance off I-70. Air travelers and customers will enjoy a new parking garage that's vastly increased in size, new surface parking lots, and many other improvements.

The information below describes the current airport terminal and the surrounding campus.
