INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS BEGINNING NOVEMBER 2008
When the new Indianapolis International Airport complex opens in November, international passengers will arrive at and depart from gates A4 and A5 in the new terminal, which will be accessed from I-70. This includes all scheduled and chartered international flights for passengers requiring federal inspection services (FIS) processing and clearance from U.S. Customs officers.

INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS BEFORE NOVEMBER 2008
Until November, Indianapolis International Airport has an  International Arrivals Building (IAB) for passengers on nonstop international flights arriving at or departing from IND. Separate from the main passenger terminal, the IAB is located on Pierson Drive. Parking is free.

ARRIVING PASSENGERS:
All international travelers arriving at IND must be cleared via U.S. Customs in the IAB. On average, the customs inspection and clearance takes about 20 minutes after a flight has landed.

PASSENGER PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF:
The easiest way to meet arriving international travelers is to go directly to the IAB. Those who are not ticketed passengers may NOT enter the building—friends, family members, business associates, and others greeting incoming international travelers must wait outside the IAB until passengers are cleared U.S. Customs.

All incoming international travelers are shuttled from the IAB to the Ground Transportation Center (GTC) at the terminal. If more convenient, you may meet arriving passengers at the GTC (see lower level terminal map).

CHECKING THE STATUS OF INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS:
We recommend you verify the status of incoming flights BEFORE arriving at the IAB.

The easiest way to determine whether a flight is early, on time, delayed, or cancelled is to contact your airline or visit the "Check My Flight" section of our Web site. Click the tab for "arrivals" or "departures" and you'll find real-time data listed by airline that is refreshed every 30 seconds for all inbound and outbound flights.

On the overhead display monitors inside the main terminal, the "gate" column is blank for international flights (the IAB abbreviation does not appear). There are no flight display monitors at IAB.
