ABOUT IND

Located at the Crossroads of America, Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is near several major U.S. interstates crossing Indiana, including I-65, I-69, I-70, I-74, and I-865. These interstates intersect the city's beltway, I-465. U.S. Highway 40, the National Road which became a U.S. highway in 1926, runs through the heart of downtown Indianapolis, which is 15 minutes by car from the airport.

Each year, IND serves about 8.5 million passengers arriving at and departing from the city on one of 12 airlines. The facility is a major catalyst for economic development in the central Indiana region, including the life sciences, logistics, and other sectors.

With characteristic "Hoosier hospitality," the Indianapolis Airport Authority and its staff are committed to providing outstanding service and world-class airport facilities.
