Spring Break 2011: Travel trends and tips
We're ready to serve thousands of winter-weary Hoosiers heading to warmer, sunnier locales for their annual spring break vacations. Heavy travel days at IND will be March 24-27, March 31-April 3, and April 7-10. Here are some suggestions and tips to help ensure you have a great airport and vacation experience.

Two new restaurants land at IND
Passengers will have two new dining options this spring: Au Bon Pain opened March 4 and Granite City Food & Brewery will open April 5. Both eateries will be located on the east end of Concourse A, occupying 4,000 square feet of space previously occupied by TGI Friday's.

Brian Eckstein: 2011 ROSE Award winner

Indianapolis International Airport's Guest Services Manager Brian Eckstein was recognized by the Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association (ICVA) on March 2, 2011 as part of their 20th Annual ROSE Awards at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. ROSE, or Recognition of Service Excellence, honors those in the city's tourism and hospitality community who exemplify excellence in customer service and positively influence a visitor's experience in Indianapolis. Brian, who has worked at Indianapolis International Airport for six years, supervises four full-time guest services representatives and about 25 volunteer airport ambassadors.



It's official! Mt. Comfort Airport is now Indianapolis Regional Airport
Mt. Comfort Airport, located in Hancock County near Greenfield, officially became Indianapolis Regional Airport on March 11. The change better reflects the airport's role within central Indiana's largest airport system, reported John D. Clark, executive director and CEO of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. "The change was requested well in advance of Super Bowl 2012 festivities to avoid confusion among customers and out-of-town visitors," Clark added. The airport is home of the popular Indianapolis Air Show, which attracts thousands of aviation enthusiasts each year.
